"Muscle car" is defined as "any of a group of American made 2-door sports coupes with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving. Opinions on the original "muscle car" vary, but the 1949 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 is often thought of as the first.

Dave Hall is in the business of making old cars look just as good as they did when they were new... and in many cases, better! He is the owner of a business in north Lincoln called "Restore a Muscle Car."

He comes from a car family so he's had a great appreciation for cool, classic cars for a long, long time. Dave knows cars and gets that from his dad, who ran John Hall Motors in Lincoln for 3 decades.

John taught his 8 sons a lot about cars, "Being in the car business for so many years, I'd buy so many cars and fix em' up a little bit and sell em' and he'd see me do that and go, 'Gee Dad, I can do that too.'"

Dave got a degree in computer science and for 15 years, he worked in the computer business. Nine years ago, Dave and his wife Michelle decided to turn his car restoring hobby into a full-time business.

Over the past 9 years Dave, his dad and 17 other "Restore a Muscle Car" employees have worked on 500 vehicles from all over the nation and around the world. Dave says, "The whole reason we started the shop is I cared about how I wanted my cars done and I wanted them done a certain way and I wanted to have that control from A to Z."

And now he does. From the beginning...to the end.

The "Restore a Muscle Car" business is probably best known around the Capital City for the annual traveling car show called the "Bandit Run" that debuted in 2007.
