1978 Pontiac Trans am. Around 150 miles on the fresh motor and trans. Black on Black with hurst t-tops. The body on the car is very clean and straight! Bottom of the car is solid with no rust anywhere! Trunk is perfect. The paint is very nice and has a deep shine, all of the decals are buried in the clear, The car looks and drives awesome and makes a ton of power.
INTERIOR- the car has all new black interior; seat covers, door panels ,center console, head liner, package tray, and carpet. The dash is original and is in really good. All new autometer gauges in the stock Trans am dash bezel, they look and fit great. It has a monster tach with shift light, 160 speedo, temp, volt ,fuel press, fuel level oil press SUSPENSION- This is a stock suspension car nothing has been cut or altered. Has new leaf springs and shocks in the rear and new shocks and coils up front with a 2 inch drop. Has a real nice stance. Bolt in sub frame connectors along with competition engineering traction bars and a drive shaft safety loop. REAR END- rear end is a 8.5 10 bolt gm original to the car with a eaton stage 2 posi with a 4:10 gear and 33 spline moser axles with heavy duty longer studs. WHEELS-TIRES The wheels on the car are New year one 17 inch snowflakes with original center caps. Front tires are BFG g-force t/a kdw 245/45zr17. rears are mickey thompson et streets 295 45 r17. TRANS- trans is a turbo 400 with a forward manual valve body one way roller 34 element sprag koline steel and a trans go race shift kit. Converter is a 10 inch ford with billet internals and has been aint ballooned. SS Braided trans lines. Topped off with console b/m mega shifter. FUEL SYSTEM- stock tank that's been sumped all ss braided lines A 1000 aermotive fuel pump #11101 aermotive filters and aeromotive #13204 bypass fuel press regulator with ENGINE- The block is a 1976 iron 455 pontiac thats been bored 30 over. Motor was baked boiled, de burred, balanced. Nodular crank, clevite bearings , ross flat top pistons, total seal classic race rings with speed pro oil rings, eagle forged h beam rods 6.625, comp cams hyd.roller cam.600 .600 valve lift 245 252 dur at .050 110 lobe separation,comp cams roller lifters, harlnd sharp roller rockers, smith bros 5/16 8.900 push-rods, sd performance cnc ported 72cc 330 cfm edelbrock race heads have flow sheets, 2.19 1.77 valves cometic gaskets, port matched edelbrock intake with separate water cross over so intakes can be switched without water mess, cvr swivel water neck, butler billet valve covers, aluminum valley pan, crank scraper. canton road race pan, butler altenator relocate kit, meziere elec water pump, cliff rugles q-jet, msd pro billet dist, 8.5 msd super conductors,msd 6al, msd coil load tork mini starter, Northern dual fan Aluminum Radiator. |

It has a K and N air filter (standard air ducting, NOT actually ram air) and an air foil in the throttle body. Internals on engine are completely stock but has a BRAND new stock distributor and water pump with taylor plug wires which probably have close to ten years on them. Still has an oil leak. Meticulous fluid maintenance over the years. Trans is rebuilt with centerforce clutch and updated gm slave cylinder with a SLP short throw shifter and skip shift bypass. Updated to LS1 aluminum driveshaft ( steel shafts had a recall) and replaced rearend once with a used 3:42 posi and also have new jounce bumpers in the package for the rearend. Exhaust has MAC headers and oversized Y pipe with NO cat and new magnaflow muffler. Have parts for a LS1 front brake upgrade. Struts , shocks and coils are stock but new ball joints and rubber a arm bushings. Used to have a ridiculously LOUD stereo but so old half the speakers deteriorated. Interior very good but not perfect. White face indiglo gauges.

1979 TA hardtop w/ 10th anniversary correct decal set. This car had a bumper to bumper frame on restoration. As you can see from the pictures, all the mechanical from the front end to rear end was restored. All original parts that could be used were used. It has a 350 Olds engine bored 30 over. A complete transmission overhaul, the 350 THD has a mild shift kit installed. Rear end has performance 373 ratio gears. A complete disassembly on the body was done for paint. Interior has hobnail upholstery with the addition of the firebird embroidered emblems on the seat backs. New door panels, new headliner, dash is original with no cracks. All instruments in working order except the clock. New BF Goodrich TA radials, new air shocks. Has original working radio that will be included. This car is fun and fast and a real head turner. Added as a bonus I have LED lights under the hood to light up the hood scoop, they are wired directly into the running lights. |

This is a One of a Kind 1976 Ford Torino Starsky & Hutch! Rare Zebra 3 San Diego Built Car- Owner's Personal Car. The builder spent one year preparing it. It has a 472 Cobra Jet Motor, blue printed and balanced with chrome alloy push rods, a Schneider cam, true 10 & 1/2 to one compression. It has an edelbrock performance 460 intake manifold, a holley 850 double pumper carb, a C6 auto transmission w/ a 2400 stall converter and 3spd shift kit, 4:11 Detroit Locker 32 spine axel 9" rear. Has a floor shift and high quality leather and trim. 460 Motor 500+ HP Engine, tuned and ready for the Road.
Steering and Suspension: It is equipped with power steering and brakes, disk front and drum rear. It all sits on a set of mag wheels and 235-60/15 front and 295-50/15 radials on the rear. The car is very tight and stops straight and true. Excellent ride quality. You can see by the pictures of the undercarriage that it is solid as can be; no structural rust visable anywhere. Interior: The interior is all custom! It is upholstered in black leather with red piping and ZEBRA 3 embroidery on the headrests and console. It has a floor shift transmission. An Auto-Meter gauge panel was mounted to the window pillar to monitor the oil pressure, water temp and volts. |

500 cubic inch V8 engine automatic transmission with leather interior. Roxana red with white top has the parade shelf cover for the convertible top. Body and chassis (surface rust it trunk is the only rust I could see on the car) are in great condition but needs a new interior. Has a new alternator and battery and about 85% tread left on tires. Car starts and drives well. I have the original owners manual from new and the hood ornament is in the trunk for safe keeping. This is a great cruiser and would give you years of motoring pleasure.
This is the same Make and model and color as the caddy featured in the Smokey and the Bandit movie.

One of my best friends has owned this car for years and when I found it for him, we had spent years looking for just this car, in rust free condition. The previous owner owned a stereo shop, so it had some very nice equipment installed that is all still in great working condition.
