With Year One’s aid, the Hall family and Restore A Muscle Car gave the Bandit Run 2008 Trans Am owners (and others) a chance to hit the road…and the track.
“The Bandit Run has now started from different locations; last year it was a Texarkana-eastward route. This year, the decision was to come out of the Midwest leaving Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday, making a stop at the legendary Bristol Motor Speedway on Wednesday, and arriving at Year One headquarters on Thursday. Approximately 60 cars were involved this year, with some early examples, some late models, but mainly the black-and-gold “Bandit” examples- the ones that ruled the second half of the 1970s even as muscle iron disappeared en mass during gas shortage/price woes back then."
